Watch out: She's a crafty lady

So I have made the executive decision (especially after making all of my xmas gifties this year) that I am going to start selling my craft.. So this is all preliminary advertising I am going to do and I will keep you updated as I go. I think I am going to write the blog meanwhile sell my things on Etsy.com. I haven't set up an account yet.. but I will be sure to let you know when I do! If you have any interest in any of the things I have made.. let me know via this blog. Bridezilla Day, by jane

So, we had a bachelorette extravaganza yesterday that Marie and I planned for Leggy Jean. It think it went quite well.. We had a little brunch ( she opened some amazing presents from her fantastic friends)

then dinner and drinks!

We went to a dueling piano bar and they made leggy get on top of the piano while they sang "Going to the Chapel."

It was fabulous.  Except there is a good chance she hates us for that now..

Then our little Bridezilla went home to dream about her day and how righteous-ly awesome her friends are...

Jane's Turn

Okay, it was going to happen eventually.. leggy blog had her blogity blog time.. now its emily jane's turn.
I was a little skeptical when the idea was being tossed around of starting the blog..for the obvious reasons. Jean still has some grammatical problems that always seem to rear their ugly head. Sometimes she just needs to be reminded.. (It's THEY'RE not THEIR!) We just will pat her on the head and tell her she is pretty. You have to say it like the crazy people who talk to their pet birds. (Who's a pretty girl!?) Then she gets this look..

..and then we know it is all going to be okay..

Handmade wedding goodness

So for my wedding my fiance and I are trying to do as much as we can to keep our wedding plans simple, affordable, intimate and handmade.  So this basically means a lot of (very much appreciated!) hard work done by our dear friends and family. So far Alison Marie has made my wedding dress and is working on all four of the bridesmaids dresses, Emily Jane has promised to sing at our wedding, my mom is collecting jars for centerpieces, my mom-in-law to be is a florist and will help with flowers, my very talented friend Alexis is going to take our wedding pictures, and the list goes on... This weekend Alison Marie took some impromptu engagement photos.  It was so fun. My abs hurt today from laughing so hard.  I'm impressed that any of them turned out because my fiance can't hold still for more than a minute so A.M. had to do a lot of running around to get some shots. But it worked!  I especially like our "family portrait" I think it pretty much describes my life....

Leggy Blog

My fiance calls me Leggy Blonde.  For obvious reasons. I am leggy and I am blonde.  He rarely calls me by my real name.  This is important information you will need in the near future.

Yesterday afternoon I was driving Emily Jane home from work.  It was "like normal" as we always say....nothing out of ordinary....when we started talking about blogging and how we should make one of our very own.  As she was getting out of the car she leans down right before she slams the car door, looks me square in the eye her eyes wide and yells "LEGGY BLOG!".  It was stupid.  So of course we both bust out laughing....  

She slams the door immediately after not saying anything else but we both continue laughing as I drive away.  I had my car window open and I could hear her laughing to herself even as I drove away.  I laughed too.  All the way home. 

It's strange times like those that I know no matter what what life throws at us I will always have my "family" to lean on.  And that makes my heart happy.
